Popular TV comedy Professor Johnbull enters season 4

The popular hilarious Nigerian comedy TV series, Professor Johnbull, is out with Season 4.

 

The new season of the rib-cracking and thought-provoking drama series features Nollywood veteran, Kanayo O. Kanayo, who plays the main character, Professor Johnbull, and Pope Odonwodo as Churchill, Professor Johnbull’s son.

Other casts include Yomi Fash-Lanso, who acts as Oloniyi the restauranteur; Ogus Baba, Martins Nebo; and Bimbo Akintola featuring as Ufoma that has a perpetual crush on the erudite professor.

 

Friday’s episode one of Season 4, tagged: “Point and Kill,” focused on the notorious activities of miscreants on Nigeria’s highways. It explored the menace of mischief-makers on highways who pretend to be good Samaritans only to rip commuters of their hard-earned money and valuables.

 

Professor Johnbull drama series is set in the coal city of Enugu and is sponsored by Nigerian telecommunications giant, Globacom. Popular Nollywood stars make regular appearances on the series including the likes of Mercy Johnson-Okogie, Chiwetalu Agu, Yomi Fash-Lanso and Ime Queen Nwoke. Others who have also featured in the comedy are Bishop Okon, Funky Malam, Bimbo Akintola and Bidemi Kosovo. Nigerian hip-hop star, D’banj, have also starred in the series, alongside popular comedian like O.C. Ukeje, Bovi, Mama G and Helen Paul.

 

Professor Johnbull airs from 8.30pm to 9 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays on NTA network, NTA International and on Star times.
