Eedris made the statement during a chat with Goldmyne TV.
“I love him (Don Jazzy), and you know why I love him? He has a drive,” he said during the interview. “The biggest mistake someone like D’banj made was to leave Don Jazzy,” he continued. “You know why? D’banj no get talent. Na razzmatazz he get. Don Jazzy has the technical backup to produce D’banj and make him sound very nice. I love Don Jazzy for that.”
That was some serious shading especially coming from one musician about another musician. And of course, the whole music sphere is interested to know how D’banj would react to such cr. So when Punch’s Saturday Beat caught up with D’banj to talk about his CREAM ( Creative, Reality, Entertainment, Arts and Music) initiative, it was a godsend opportunity to get the singer’s reaction; which was actually mild in comparison to the perceived magnitude of the aspersion.

“At first, I did not see the video where Eedris spoke about me and initially, I thought it was something else till people sent me the video,” he replied. “I have seen different videos of him talking about different artists that are young enough to be his kids,” he continued (notice the subtle shading there)! “I would have thought that if he was such a role model, there were better ways he could pass his message across but I have nothing against him. I have nothing more to say about him. I feel people just have different ways of expressing themselves,” D’banj concluded.
