EPl Highlights Round 7: Results and Table Standings

 

 

Chelsea 1-0 Manchester City: Chelsea were at sea all through the game and prior to the introduction of Pedro and Batshuayi the hosts could not muster much by way of chances as the City players were more than a handful for the Blues. Kevin De Bryune notched the only goal of the match with many chances not just going in for the visitors.

 

Huddersfield Town 0-4 Tottenham: Red hot Harry Kane was on target for the visitors as he grabbed a first half brace in between a goal from Ben Davies before Sissoko got the last goal for them against a hapless Huddersfield outfit to move them to third on the table.

 

Everton 0-1 Burnley: The Goodison Park landlords were shot down by Burnley in a solitary goal that leaves Everton 16th on the table and Burnley jumped to 6th.

 

AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester: Leicester continued their bad run with just 5 points in 7 league atches with a draw with Bournemouth who currently sit at 19th.

 

Manchester United 4-0 Crystal Palace: United compounded Palace’s woes with a four goal thumping at the Old Trafford with Fellani scoring twice and Lukaku too getting on the score sheet for the Red Devils yet again as the keep pace on points with Manchester City at the top.

 

Stoke City 2-1 Southampton: Despite Berahino throwing away a golden chance of doubling their lead from the spot in the first period , the hosts still went on to claim all the points with Peter Crouch scoring a late goal to put them back in the lead and they move up to 13.

 

West Bromwich Albion 2-2 Watford: The hosts gave up a two goal lead from the first half against an unrelenting Watford team that sees West Brom slip to 10th and Watford stay 8th.

 

West Ham 1-0 Swansea City: West Ham were content to defend their one goal lead against Swansea as the hammers start to move back to the upper part of the table.

 

Arsenal 2-0 Brighton & Hove Albion: Nigeria’s Iwobi put the Gunners two goals up after Monreal’s opener as they shake off their bad start of the season and stay level on points with Chelsea and stay 5th.

 

Newcastle United 1-1 Liverpool: Joselu equalized Coutinho’s opener as Newcastle keep waxing stronger to pull to 9th on the standings with Liverpool staying 1 point out of the top four spot as they are yet to maintain a semblance of balance in attack since the loss of Sadio Mane to suspension.
