How to Walk On Muddy Roads without Mud-Stains behind Your Trousers.

With the constant rains this year and the ever bad roads, it is sometimes inescapable to ply roads on foot and it is just sad when one shows up for a date with the back of his/her jeans spotted with mud up to the shirt, or an interview and the trousers look like it was designed with brown prints.

But then this is why you’ve got internet connection, to help you get through everyday challenges.

Wear Shoes or Sandals.

This has nothing to do with dressing corporate or the ‘dress the way you want to be addressed’ mantra (though that is as good as it is cliché) but wearing shoes are a foolproof way to escape mud stains on trousers as those stains are a result of the lifting of the back legs filled with some amount of dirt and plastering sprinkle of dirt on the trouser. But to avoid buying a new shoe at the end of each month, get a rubber shoe that is made for the conditions, it is cheap and it can quickly be swapped for your normal shoes when you get to the office. I know you are expecting something on the sandals, but I was kidding don’t wear sandals or at least wear only the type described in the second tip …

Wear Slippers or Sandals That Smaller.

Wearing smaller sizes of slippers and sandals is an original idea that just uses the ending of your sole to stop the mud intended for your trousers.

Walk Slowly and Waddle.

Walking too fast can overrule all the tips above and after you get to wherever you are headed, you will be looking either like a designer of mud-stained-clothes. Watch your steps for the distance covered by the mud because it is always slippery and many have been known to break some body parts due to falls in such paths. Also, waddle instead of raising your legs from behind raise them slightly from the sides.

Roll Your Trousers.

You shouldn’t be told this but remember to roll up your trousers at least to just below the knees when you thread muddy parts.

In all you may not survive with a few stains because a crazy motorist could just drive by carelessly near a puddle and (the rest is history) but this list have proved to be very effective and has stood the test of time.
