According to Fox News the rapper was arrested by the police after a woman fingered him as the person who raped her on the bus during his tour. The police confirm that Nelly whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was arrested outside Walmart in his bus.
The Grammy winning rapper has come out to say that the accusation was false and though he was arrested, he was freed as he was not found guilty and haven’t even been charged formally. He went on to say on his social media page that he was apologizing to his family for whatever embarrassment they will go through during this ordeal and also thanked his fans for unwavering support and loyalty. He ended by saying that “they know me” and he will walk free since he was not guilty.
He missed his tour showing on Saturday in Washington because of the arrest but says he will go on, though the police hinted that he will appear before a judge ‘sometime’.
