JAY-Z is considering a purchase of Harvey Weinstein’s interest in his company, The Weinstein Company (TWC),  according to a report by TMZ.

Weinstein, who holds about 23 % stake in the company was forced to resign from TWC following an  exposé by the New York Times, which revealed that the VIP movie producer has for decades sexually abused employers and associated.

 

JAY-Z, sources told TMZ, is discussing with several other investors including a famous movie producer and a billionaire about  are talking about the purchase. TMZ also recalled that JAY-Z has a history of colloboration with the TWC and Harvey including a deal in which he has produced a movie, “The Kalief Browder Story.” He has also a Trayvon Martin miniseries slated for production. Jay has a first-look film deal with the company. Our sources say Jay wants his relationship with the company to continue and grow, and since Harvey is out he’s looking at acquiring a substantial equity stake in the company.
