Following reports that she and Gerard Pique were on the brink of a split after being together for almost 7 years and having two sons together, Shakira has dispelled rumors with her latest statement in the media.
Speaking through her publicist to HOLA magazine, the statement reads:
“Shakira and Gerard Pique’s relationship is still going strong. Everything is the same.”
Further speaking, she said that the false stories were being circulated by people who were out to hurt Pique.
The rumors could have been as a result of his outspokenness on the political issues surrounding Catalonia’s impending independence from Spain.
