Bid for hosting the Commonwealth Games 2022 postponed.

After Birmingham emerged as the only bidder for the hosting of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the deadline for the bidding process which closed on 30 September has been shifted to 30 November 2017. The board stated that the bid was ‘not fully compliant’ and were giving other cities more time.

 

Rob Andrew- Players’ strike is feasible.

Following proposals to extend the season by a month during the 2019-2020 campaign, the former Director of Rugby Football Union, Rob Andrew has mentioned the duress the extension will have on the players (who have already shown disagreement over the proposal) and stressed that a strike might happen.

30 year old former two-weight World Champion, Carl Frampton, who is gearing up for a fight against Horacio Garcia on 18 November has revealed that he will reduce the amount of sparring sessions he undertakes from 220 to 100 because of brain damage risk but will continue training hard.
