Lady naps for twenty minutes, wakes up with a hugely swollen face. Find out why.

For the lady, it’s a complete mystery that her face should suddenly become so swollen for no apparent reason

 

Sharing pictures of her inflammed face on Instagram, user @sexytee_minaj wrote”

“Dis is not funny, Just to sleep for 20min and woke up to see my face like dis ? I swear, I can’t believe dis is my face. Dis happened dis evening.

“No itching, No irritation, No symptoms of anything!!! Just suddenly swollen but d God am Serving as never failed me and he will never fail me! ?”

 

We did a quick search on the medical website Healthline for possible causes of facial inflammation.  According to the website”

“Facial swelling can be caused by both minor and major medical conditions. Many causes are easily treatable. However, some are severe and require immediate medical attention. Common causes of facial swelling include:

allergic reaction
eye infection (such as conjunctivitis)
surgery
a side effect of medication
cellulitis (bacterial infection of the skin of face)
sinusitis
hormonal disturbance (such as thyroid diseases)
sty
abscess

The website also indicated that:

“A swollen face due to an allergic reaction may be accompanied by other symptoms. These are the symptoms of anaphylaxis (serious allergic reaction). Proper medical treatment must be administered immediately to prevent the reaction from turning into anaphylactic shock, which can be lethal.”
