Motorists were this morning handed a bill to inform them of the proposed hike, which was to commence from Monday 8th of November, barely five days from the day of the notice.
The petition, which is published on the website of the organisation was started by a concerned Lagosian, Ngozi Ihedigbo, who noted that the proposed 70% hike in toll fee is disproportionate to wage average increase of the citizenry. She also indicated that the gap is also way greater than the inflation rate in the country. She called on Lagosians to resist the move by the State government and urged people to sign the petition.
