The Bible has been a book of practical wisdom for years and still continues to be so in our time and after us. Below are four passages of the Bible that points at how it is possible to manage money.
Proverbs 21:17
“The one who loves having a good time will come to poverty; the one who loves wine and oil will not grow rich”
This portion is pointing out the danger of extravagance, it is the fastest way to become broke and it keeps people who make money from becoming any richer.
Proverbs 22:7
“The borrower is a slave to the lender”
Making borrowing a habit is very bad.
Luke 14:28-30
“Who of you wanting to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, he might lay its foundation but not be able to finish it, and all the onlookers would start to ridicule him, saying: ‘This man started to build but was not able to finish.’”
It is clear from here that planning does not reflect a lack of faith in God’s plan; it is wise to know our limit when we set out to do things.
John 6:12
“When they had eaten their fill, he said to his disciples: ‘Gather together the fragments left over, so that nothing is wasted.’”
Not letting things that can still be used again go to waste is a smart way of managing expenses.
The Bible continues to give us more help to deal with daily challenges. Read it more often.
