Former CAN president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor thinks those who don’t pay tithe will die prematurely
Tithing has become a hot debate on the Nigeria social landscape and is anchored by critic-in-chief Daddy Freeze who routinely attack pastors on the subject.
And for believers, either pay up or be prepared to die in the not too distant future or so Pastor Oritsejafor thinks.
The pastor was speaking at the 20th Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) and said Christians who do not pay tithe will die quick.
“I know there are some people telling you not to pay tithe,” he says in a not so subtle refernce to Daddy Freeze. “Don’t listen to them. They want to kill you. You go die quick o” he add.
The pastor referred to the of Hebrews 7:9, which he interpreted as paying tithe “is not about you.”
He says: “Your tithe is not about you. It’s about your children. The Bible says when Levi was still in the system, he was already paying tithe. Your tithe is not about you. It’s about your children. It is about your children’s children. Levi was still in the picture, he was paying tithe. Don’t let anybody deceive you.
“Look at yourself and look at the person saying you should not pay tithe. When you look, you will see the difference is clear; the bible says the difference is clear.”
