Somethings are certainly beyond common comprehension. And we’re not about (yet) to question a purportedly ‘eyewitness’ account of the alleged birth even if the intelligence assaults our common sense. Yet, it’s not uncommon for news of uncommon phenomenon to break now and again; like that time we were told a bird transformed into a human after electrocution in Rivers State.
Presently, the news making the round on social media is that a woman who was reportedly pregnant for three years gave birth to a canine. That’s quite an uncommon news as any, and certainly defies every logic. For one, the human gestation period is nine months. For another, genetically speaking, humans can’t beget dogs or any other animal for that matter, based on our current understanding of reproduction. But then, who are we to question an eyewitness’ account? So, we’ll tell the story as it was told by Facebook user Kukang Joseph.
Joseph claimed to have present when the event took place. He also said that a crowd gathered at the venue and were tried to take pictures of the event prompting him to advice that the lady should be covered up to avoid stigmatisation. We really applaud him for his thoughtfulness.
Joseph also said the puppy that attempts to burn the dog were not successful and the dog “refused to burn even after several hours of applying fuel and firewood.”
His post:
“I, personally advised she should be covered to avoid stigmatization and shame because the crowd was much to look and took snaps. The dog refused to burn even after several hrs of applying fuel and firewood.”
