A media outlet had blandished the headline that Tinubu was being considered as the next VP candidate with a view to boosting APC’s performance in South-West. According to that report, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo was considering returning to full pastoral duties come 2019.
Tinubu issued the denial via his Media Officer, Tunde Rahman. He described the report as false, insisting that he and Nigerians “have absolute confidence and are exceedingly proud of the excellent job that Professor Osinbajo is doing as the Vice-President of Nigeria.”
