Four-time Grammy award-winning singer, Sade Ade, 59, born Helen Folasade Adu is set to return to the studio for a new single, her first since 2008 when she released her last studio album, Soldier Of Love.

The singer has recorded a new original song titled Flower of the Universe for the upcoming film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time.

The news was shared on Twitter by the film director, Director Ava DuVernay, who says “it’s a dream come true.

She tweets:

I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled ‘Flower of the Universe.’ And it’s a dream come true.”
– Ava DuVernay? 9(@ava) 20th February 2008.
