Wenger calls 22 years at Arsenal “biggest mistake of his career”

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that the biggest mistake of his career was staying 22 years at the club side.

When speaking to RTL the 68 year old said that he was someone who liked to move around a lot but also someone who liked challenges and he felt like he became “a prisoner” of his own challenges.

Wenger said, when asked the biggest mistake of his career: “Perhaps staying at the same club for 22 years.

“I’m someone who likes to move around a lot, but I also like a challenge. I’ve been a prisoner of my own challenge at times.”

Wenger led Arsenal to three Premier League titles and is also responsible for the legendary ‘Invincibles’ side of 2003-04 going an entire premier league season unbeaten.
