Talented movie director Jay Franklyn clocks 40 today and is engulfed in an overwhelming stream of good wishes from friends, fans and family.

 

As a birthday gift and in line with his vision to create, empower, support and facilitate the Nigerian entertainment industry, the Dinner director is offering opportunities to aspiring writers and filmmakers to realise their dreams.

And the best part, this gift is specifically tailored towards creative, talented and visionary women seeking to make their mark in the entertainment industry.  According Franklin, it was high time more women played a significant part and channel their visions, creativity and talent into the industry.

 

The director who is currently away in New York celebrating his birthday with his lovely family is set to commence the programme upon his return.

Lucky participants of the programme from all classes: screenwriting, editing, and directing class will get to work with their facilitator, Director Jay Franklyn Jituboh upon the completion of their programmes.

 

 

Training Timetable 

1. Screenwriting master class

A special programme geared towards moulding raw talent and skills, and empowering aspiring female screenwriters with the knowledge, and the practice of basic, intermediate and advanced screenwriting tactics, procedures and tools into making creative, riveting and noteworthy screenplays that are award-worthy both home and abroad.

Venue: Sidomex Universal, 4 Akanni Bashorun Street, Lekki Phase 1

Time: 10 am – 4 pm

Duration: 7th March – 9th March

2. Directing master class

A programme specifically tailored for female writers, with a total knowledge and understanding of the screenplay process, seeking to move a step higher and direct great movies that don’t fall short of perfection in terms of execution, professionalism and every other factor that contributes into making a great movie.

Venue: Sidomex Universal, 4 Akanni Bashorun Street, Lekki Phase 1

Time: 10 am – 4 pm

Duration: 14th March-16th March

 

2. Editing master class

Facilitated by Niyi XYZ Faleyimu, wholly aimed at creating astounding film editors that are masters of their craft.

Venue: Sidomex Universal, 4 Akanni Bashorun Street, Lekki Phase 1

Time: 10 am –  4 pm

Duration: 21st March – 23rd March

 

Acting master class

The training is geared at imbuing talented and aspiring actresses with the knowledge and skills required to be a great, diverse and enthralling actress to enable them channel and imbue the creative gift with which they’ve been blessed.

Venue: Sidomex Universal, 4 Akanni Bashorun Street, Lekki Phase 1

Time: 10 am – 4 pm

Duration: 28th March – 30th March
