All you need to know about deadly Coronavirus as first person is tested in Ivory Coast

The deadly coronavirus that started in China has mutated and its spread has now reached more than 15 countries worldwide.

At least 106 people have died from the virus in China, and at least 4500 people have been infected around the world, according to Al Jazeera.

The disease has caused some parts of China to be shut down, including the place where it originated from, which is in Wuhan, China. It is now being called the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The disease was first reported in Wuhan, China, on 31 December 2019, and has since spread to other countries, including Thailand, Japan, United States, Australia, France, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, Nepal, Malaysia, Japan, Cambodia and Taiwan.

In a bid to control the spread of the disease, major cities in China have been on lockdown and a ban has been put on the sale of wildlife in markets, restaurants, and over e-commerce.

As the world is watching and trying to protect itself from this virus, reports are stating that the first suspected case of the virus has been recorded in Ivory Coast.

The country’s health minister reported that the student, who is yet to be named is the first person to be tested for the virus on the African continent.

The 34-year-old student travelled from Beijing to Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan on Saturday and was coughing, sneezing and experienced difficulty breathing, Ivory Coast’s Ministry of Health said in a statement.

The patient is currently in seclusion, but authorities believe it is simply a case of Pneumonia and not coronavirus.

Coronavirus is a large group of viruses that are common among animals, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Symptoms include a runny nose, cough, sore throat, and infected persons may have headaches and maybe a fever, which can last for a couple of days.

As such, people in affected regions are advised to wear a mask to cover their noses as mouths. People are also advised to sneeze into tissues or into the fold of their elbows in order to reduce the risk of spread of the virus.
