Following several months of intelligence gathering and investigations, the Intelligence Response Team made the arrest after they discovered the alleged killers of Emmanuel Ubah popularly called Onwa who was shot and killed last July.
It was gathered that after killing Mr Ubah had thrown his mobile phones into the canal nearby. The death had caused a lot of tension in the area as Onwa was also the head of the Policing Youth Vanguard in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Festac. Though the suspects were accused of being contract killers, they remained adamant that they had killed him because his influence threatened them.
Imohimi Edgal, the acting Commissioner of Police in the State said that a pistol, two live ammunition and one pump action gun had been recovered from the suspects who had fled to Cotonou after committing the atrocity.
According to them, the plan had simply been for them to harass and threaten the deceased. It is alleged that one Fatai Onifade also known as Apashe had felt that Ubah had sponsored some boys to kill him, hence they had used one Abidemi Adeleye to lure the victim to the location where he was killed. Michael Fashola admitted to being the one who shot him but claimed it was an accidental discharge even though he shot him multiple times.
Money problems had led to disagreements between the group and Apashe who said he is a leader of the OPC (Odudua People’s Congress) in the area admitted that he was the one who arranged everything but the actual shooting was not part of his original plan.
They were paraded yesterday (Monday) at the Festac Police Station.

They were caught this time, how many other people have they killed?
Killers should rot in prison or better still safe tax payers money and just execute them.
