If God Says yes, who can say no? Well, your answer is as good as mine or as good as that of the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, who has revealed that he is running for a second term in office because, God said YES.

 

Though it took longer that he had actually planned to give his answer but as we know, God’s time is the best and Dr. Ortom had been waiting on him since he informed the masses, especially the youths that were egging him on for a second term, last year that if God said he should not run again, he would retire to his farm in the State but luckily for him, God had given him a go ahead.

He made the announcement to some Local government representatives that visited him on Wednesday to endorse him for the 2019 gubernatorial election that he had considered their pleas for him to continue in office and coupled with God’s direction, he is allowing the divine will to take control of affairs.

 

Also, he made it known that he was aware of the sufferings of the workers in the State who had not been paid for many months and is working hard to clear the State’s debt. His supporters listed the re-opening of Benue State University and graduation of more than 150 medical doctors, reconstruction of the schools of nursing and midwifery, ongoing face lift of over 700 primary schools, and implementation of minimum wage for primary school teachers as justification for the endorsement.
