The Reddit co-founder made this known in an answer when asked about it on Twitter. According to him, his wife, star tennis player, Serena Williams has done more for the world than he has.
His words:
“I don’t mind at all. Only a few hundred million people use @reddit every month and only a small percentage of them know who I am. (Far, far more people have cheered for my wife; specifically, for the last two decades). Just math.
“And even if @Initialized ended up being one of the greatest VC funds of all time (that’s the goal), the contribution to the world — let alone recognition — isn’t close to comparable to what my wife has done and will continue to do. It’s pretty liberating, really.
“I’m used to being the face of my companies, so I enjoy not being the ‘public-facing’ partner in my marriage.”
Depends where I am:
SF (usually): "You're that guy who startedReddit/Initialized Capital"
LA: "That guy I saw once on TV on that talk show?"
NY: "Brooklyn!! You're that investor always repping NY tech"
VA: "Wahoowa!"
FL: "Next in line, please"
Everywhere else: "Serena's husband" https://t.co/fPbT5Nzxsm— Alexis Ohanian 7??7??6?? (@alexisohanian) September 18, 2018

I agree with the guy. It really does not matter. He too is successful, not like he is a pauper
