The 25-year-old met Aretha when they were both listed for the performance of Women of Soul at the white house in 2004 which was hosted by former President, Barrack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.
The event will also be graced by performances from Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Fantasia, Faith Hill, Shirley Cesar and Jennifer Hudson among many others.
Ariana first made her heartfelt tribute to the late queen of soul with a performance of Aretha’s Natural Woman on Jimmy Fallon‘s The Tonight Show with the band, The Roots.
