BTS to make an appearance at the 2019 Grammy Awards as presenters

Last year November, they became the first K-pop group to perform at the American Music Award. This year, they are set to make another major appearance.

South-Korean boy sensation band BTS will be presenting awards at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards taking place this Sunday 9th February 2019. The band had gained prominence for their different-sounding music. They made it clear in a show with Jimmy Fallon that the only thing left for the group to achieve is “Go to the Grammys.”

Looks like that would be happening as the group will be at this year’s glamorous music award. It was previously announced that the group’s 3rd album, Love Yourself  Tear was nominated this year for the Best Recording Package award, alongside their album production team. So, it seems that in addition to this nomination, BTS have also been invited to the evening ceremony to present an award to a fellow artist.

The Grammys will be hosted by Alicia Keys.

Confirmed performers for the event include Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Miley Cyrus, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Post Malone with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, and Kacey Musgraves.

Up for an award is Swift for the best pop vocal album (Reputation), while Maroon 5 is also nominated for the best pop duo/group performance (for Girls Like You, with Cardi B). However, it seems like they will not be attending the event.

Currently, BTS is trending on Twitter as a result of the news.
