The prestigious Soundcity MVP Awards was held in Lagos over the weekend and a host of musicians won big at the event.

Burna Boy, who had an undoubtedly fantastic 2018 won big at the awards, scooping a total of four awards. Wizkid, Davido, Teni Entertainer and South African artist Busiswa also scooped up awards at the event.

The night also saw performances from Teni Entertainer, Bususwa, Niniola, Illbliss among others. A notable part of the night was Burna Boy’s mother who accepted all his awards and trended on social media after she said, “Thank you for 2018. 2019, expect more madness.”
