Nollywood actress Ini Edo has been recognised by the African Women Arts and Film Festival (AWAFFEST) for her latest film, Heaven On My Mind.
Ini Edo was presented with a Certificate of Achievement during the festival event that took place at the National Museum of Tanzania over the weekend from the 29th to 31st of March 2019.
An excited Ini Edo shared the news on Instagram, writing:
“It’s such an emotional and mixed feelings receiving this prestigious award… Thank you @awaffest st for this honour. I wanna particularly apologise to my Tanzanian family whom I was really looking forward to seeing…that due to some Visa mix-ups, I couldn’t be there personally. I Love u all,n am sure we will be given another opportunity..God bless all African women..making their voices heard through Arts. The future is ours.”
