Nollywood actress, Christabel Egbenya has threatened to sue the Sun Newspaper over alleged fake news.
Christabel expressed her disappointment over a news report by the Sun Newspaper about her alleged urgent need for a man even if she ended up as a second or third wife.
The beautiful actress said she never made such a statement and it was unfortunate for the media company to publish such unverified news.
The actress stated that she has gotten in touch with her lawyers who will be in touch with the Sun newspaper.
Taking to her Instagram page, the furious actress writes:
“It is most unfortunate that the management of any news media would make such publication without taking prior steps to verify the truth of it.
“I am speaking with my lawyers already. They will in due course get in touch with the management of Sun Newspapers to exact the appropriate remedy and clear my hard-earned reputation.
“I appeal to all my fans to stay calm as I thank them for always standing by me.”
We expect the actress’s team to demand for a retraction of the story and to issue an apology as the first step, if the actress is actually serious about this. And it is only if that fails that Actress Christabel Egbenya may consider whether or not to sue the Sun Newspaper.
