Chimamanda rocks Nigerian designer piece by Nkwo to China

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie continues to remain true to her commitment to promoting Nigerian designers by showcasing their designs to the world.

The renowned author was spotted rocking Nkwo’s design during a book fair in faraway China.

The dress, in particular, a piece from Nkwo’s Essentials range is christened The Flip Dress and is made of denim materials. The short-sleeved dress has vertical and horizontal stripes running all through – the former on the upper body and the latter on the lower body – as well as an asymmetrical hem that makes for an altogether quirky piece of clothing.

Chimamanda not only wore the dress but also shared it with her fans on Instagram, with a note that specifically mentions Nkwo as the designer of the dress, and also includes the #MadeInNigeria.

Of course, the gesture was well appreciated as the fashion house reposted the image with the caption:

BLUESDAY GIRL… and stunning as always @chimamanda_adichie rocking our Basic Blues Flip dress at the Shanghai Book Fair.

Thank you so much for championing African designers. We love you!!!
