Dammy Krane is facing a prospect of life behind bars if found guilty of charges brought against him by Merrybet Gold Limited, a betting company.
A report by Punch Newspaper says Dammy Krane is to be arraigned in court today after th artist was accused of threatening the lives of staff members of a betting company and defamation against the company.
According to the report, Dammy Krane, whose real name is Johnson Oyindamola, will be arraigned at the Igbosere Magistrate Court on three counts of charges bordering on a threat to life, defamation and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. If convicted, he stands to spend up to three years in prison.
The incident is said to have taken place on the 25th of July 2019. The musician was said to have attended a game show sponsored by the betting company but lost. However, Dammy Krane was said to have demanded some money for appearing on the show but, the sports company disagreed, insisting that the sum was only given to winners.
Dammy Krane then went to Cool FM where he accused the company of breaking a contractual agreement and said that they owe him money. He was also said tho have threatened the lives of the staff member of the Merrybet Gold Limited.
