Davido shades Wizkid for calling on fans not to vote based on celeb endorsement

DMW music boss Davido has mocked Starboy CEO Wizkid over his comments claiming not to perform for any political party ahead of the 2019 elections.

So apparently, these two are at it again.

It all began when Wizkid posted Snapchat message where he urged fans not to vote for any candidate based on celebrity endorsements. A piece of advice we think Davido took personally.

“Politicians stop joking with people’s lives. You are responsible for the lives of millions of people and your decision affects all. Help make Nigeria a better place,” writes Starboy.

“Don’t let anybody weh don collect money influence your vote to tell u who’s right or not! Use your head! Vote wisely! I’m for whoever the people vote.

“Vote who you like…vote wisely. If you are old enough to get a PVC, you are old enough to think! Don’t sell your vote…your vote can make a difference! Go out and vote,” the post concludes.

An Instagram channel @urfreshtv had claimed that Wizkid rejected millions of naira from politicians to perform at their campaigns so as not to influence voters.

But we do not know whether this claim was true or false but if it is, well, it may well be that Starboy was keeping faith with his views.

But one person who thought otherwise was singer Davido who insinuated Wizkid was motivated by jealousy.

Well, we can’t really say the posts were digs at Wizkid but the timing was rather suspicious.

Davido has been vocal in his support for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar. He has also declared support for other candidates contesting various positions.
