Lord Ivar came out in 2016, 6 years after the end of his 16 years of marriage with Penny Mountbatten which saw the birth of their 3 daughters.
In an interview with Daily Mail, it was revealed that Penny will give Lord Ivar’s hand out in his wedding to James in a private chapel on his country estate in Devon.
Speaking to the news outlet, Lord Mountbatten said his royal relatives know of the plans and are “really excited for us.”
“Sadly they can’t come to the wedding. Their diaries are arranged months in advance and they’re not around, but they adore James. Everyone adores him.”
The couple has revealed that there will not be traditional wedding components such as a first dance, white doves or a wedding cake, but there will be cheese, and also the wedding will be a very small affair, saying:
“We’ll be pronounced partners in marriage, but the ceremony itself will be very small. It’s just for the girls and close family and friends.”
