Instagram has a new celebrity Instagrammer!
It’s Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston who just joined the photo-sharing website/app nine years after it was founded.
For her first post, the actress shared a photo of her a selfie with he Friends co-cast including Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow David Schwimmer Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry.
She captures the photo: “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM.”
The post comes after the Rumour Has It star reveals to Howard Stern that she and her Friends’ cast members recently met up Courtney Cox’s house while they all happened to be in town coincidentally.
So, yes, Jennifer Aniston’s caption was spot on.
The post quickly went viral and presently has garnered over 8.9 million likes. As for the account, in less than 24 hours, it has 7.3 million followers.
There are some speculations that the account may also have broken the record for the fastest Instagram account to reach one million followers. That record is currently held by Prince Harry and Meghan’s account, @susseroyal, which the royal couple opened back in April this year just before Meghan put to bed. At the time, the @sussexroyal account gained one million followers within 5 hours 45 minutes of opening, according to the Guinness World Record.
On the other hand, Jennifer Aniston’s Instagram account reportedly gained 116,000 followers within 30 minutes of being created and crossed the one million mark in just a few hours, according to Nine. However, this has not been officially verified.
Many celebrities including the likes of Reese Witherspoon, who currently stars with the 50-year-old actress on Apple’s newsroom drama series, The Morning Show, have followed the celebrity.
