The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has just announced an additional ten new cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria bringing the total number of Coronavirus infections in the country to 224.
According to the NCDC, six out of the ten cases were discovered in Lagos, two in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and two in Edo State. This brings the total cases of the virus in Nigeria to sum to 224.
“Ten new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 6 in Lagos, 2 in FCT and 2 in Edo.
“As at 11:15 am 5th April there are 224 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-seven have been discharged with five deaths,” the NCDC writes on their Twitter handle.

The NCDC also announced that the total number of recovered patients are now 27 and that five people have died from Coronavirus-related death.
In other words, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in Nigeria is now 122.
No new state has registered infection excepting the 13 plus the FCT Abuja where the infection has already been reported.
