Breaking! LASEMA recovers the body of a man who jumped into Lagos lagoon

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has discovered a body believed to be that of 40-year old Mr Oluseyi Adekunle, who allegedly jumped off the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge into the Lagos lagoon.

He was identified from the ATM cards and other items found on his body.

Recall that we reported the sad incident, which took place on Friday morning. Eyewitnesses said that the late Adekunle appeared to be on his way to work when he dropped his bag at the rails before taking the plunge in what looked like a suicide bid. The body was recovered today (Sunday) following two days of combing the lagoon by the officials of LASEMA.

Authorities are still investigating the incidence.

This incident comes barely six months after a medical doctor identified as Allwell Orji jumped to his death from the third mainland bridge into the lagoon.
