There has also been some apprehension with regard to the threats against the president made by the IPOB should President Buhari step into ‘their’ land. However, those apprehensions seem to have been unfounded as the images below show and the president started off his visits in Ebonyi State.
He even bagged double chieftaincy titles given to him by the traditional rulers of the state. So when next you met the president, you might be tempted to address him as ‘Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi‘ which translates as ‘A valuable friend of Ebonyi’ and/or ‘Ochioha Ndi Igbo‘ which means ‘Leader of the Igbo people’.
The title Ochioha NdiIgbo 1, was conferred on him by South East traditional council of rulers led by Eze Eberechi D--k, while the other, Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi, was conferred on him by the Ebonyi traditional council of rulers led by Eze Charles Mkpuma.
Meanwhile, on arrival at the Enugu International Airport, President Buhari was received at the airport by Governors of the South-Eastern States along with Gov. Bello of Kogi State who acts as the head of Security Sub-committee of the APC National Campaign Council for the Anambra State elections. He was also welcomed by Okezie Ikpeazu (Gov. Abia State), Dave Umahi (Gov. Ebonyi State), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gov. Enugu State) and Owelle Rochas Okorocha (Gov. Imo State). We had the event covered and you can read all about it and see all the pictures here: Buhari Arrives In Enugu State.
