Buhari’s anti-corruption fight is like Satan calling Judas Iscariot a sinner

Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has reacted to the news of reinstatement and promotion of Abdulrasheed Maina back into the Civil Service.

Maina was the former Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms. He has been declared wanted for corrupt practices by the International Police Organisation, (INTERPOL) after he was dismissed from office by the Civil Service Commission in 2013 for allegedly committing N2.1 Billion pension fraud while in office.

In a series of tweets, Governor Ayo Fayose questioned the integrity of President Buhari and his purported fight against corruption, saying that he has been vindicated by his statement that the corruption will be on the increase under the Buhari’s administration.

Someone accused of stealing billions of pension fund was returned to the FG civil service, and you still think Buhari is fighting corruption?
“Didn’t I tell Nigerians that Buhari was not fighting any corruption? Didn’t I say that Buhari was only after his political opponents?
Fellow Nigerians, are you now convinced that Buhari’s anti-corruption fight is like Satan calling Judas Iscariot a sinner?”
“Said it then that the kind of corruption that will be witnessed in this govt of Buhari will be unprecedented, am I not being vindicated?
