Few days after the UK prime minister, Boris Johnson tested positive for Covid-19, pandemic, which is popularly known as Coronavirus, he has been admitted into the hospital over severe symptoms of the virus.
According to Johnson, he was admitted into the hospital for routine tests due to symptoms of the virus. Meanwhile, the prime minister continues to receive briefing papers, according to a spokesperson.
The regular morning briefing on Coronavirus was chaired by the foreign secretary, Dominic Raab, the most senior cabinet minister after Johnson.
The prime minister was taken to a London hospital on Sunday evening following “persistent symptoms” – including a high temperature.
“Last night, on the advice of my doctor, I went into the hospital for some routine tests as I’m still experiencing coronavirus symptoms. I’m in good spirits and keeping in touch with my team, as we work together to fight this virus and keep everyone safe,” Boris Johnson tweets on his Twitter handle.
