Nigeria has recorded an additional 595 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 16th of July.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 34,854 confirmed The centre also stated that 14,292 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 769 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Thursday, 16th July was 19,793.

Looks like the southern states are getting hammered. Worrisome.
