Coronavirus in Nigeria update: 452 new cases; total hits 21,371

Nigeria has recorded an additional 452 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 23rd of June.

According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 21,371. The centre also stated that 7,338 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from isolations centres across the country. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 533 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Tuesday 23rd June 2020 was 13,500

Taking to it’s Instagram page, NCDC tweets: “452 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;

Lagos-209, Oyo-67, Delta-37, Ogun-36 FCT-22, Abia-20, Enugu-16, Bauchi-15, Kaduna-8, Ondo-8, Osun-7, Imo-3, Benue-3, Borno-1.

21,371 confirmed, 7,338 discharged, 533 deaths.”
