Coronavirus in Nigeria update: Total cases of coronavirus in Nigeria near 40,000

Nigeria has recorded an additional 438 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 25th of July.

According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 39,977 confirmed The centre also stated that 16,948 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 856 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Saturday, 25th of July was 22,173.

Taking to it’s Instagram page, NCDC tweets: “438 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria:
