Nigeria has recorded an additional 779 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 27th of June.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 24,077. The centre also stated that 8,625 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from2 isolations centres across the country. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 558 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Saturday 27th June 2020 was 14894.
