Nigerian politician, Senator Dino Melaye, has taken to social media to criticise himself and his fellow colleagues in government positions.
“Shame on me and everyone who has held and is holding a political office in Nigeria, ” Dino Melaye writes on his Instagram page.
According to Dino Melaye, the country sold crude oil for 64 years but could not afford to feed its citizens for two weeks.
The politician said that everyone who is holding or has held a political position in the country, including himself, have failed.
The coronavirus pandemic came to the world and has changed a lot of things in ways people never expected.
Many countries are struggling to take care of their citizens and also trying to ease the burden on them by providing palliatives so that they would not grumble too much about being told to stay at home.
Now that Senator Dino Melaye has taken to shaming himself and other politicians, will the good senator introduce legislation to cut down on senators’ jumbo allowances and take home packages? Asking for 200 million Nigerians.
The senator represents Kogi West senatorial district and has been a member of the Senate since 2015. Before then, he represented Kabba/Ijumu federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
