  10. I hope it is renamed soon..since its been declared earlier than expected..and the school fees should be moderate as well. that is the most important thing. at least will be affordable for all

    • @it can’t be renamed again..
Use Nnamdi azikiwe stadium for example..its a sign of respect so it will be forever a memorable event

  11. I don’t get this whole idea of renaming a school after somebody when the person is dead.

Why would Buhari be the one to rename the school in the first place. What is the role of the schools senate/academic stakeholders or the governing council of the university. Did they deliberate and make such recommendation to the federal government.

Some of these name changes sound awkward. I wouldn’t want to see UNN, UNILAG, UI changed after somebody. I don’t think it’s proper to just change the name without seeking the opinion of people.

    • @imaobong,first of all,the rename was done by YEMI OSIBANJO ,vice president not bihari and mind you before the burial, both the governing council, school stake holders and councellors have met together..
It must have been an agreed deliberated opinion OK..
Vice president can’t just say that

    • We all Get, Ekwueme was a great Man. But this is a wrong way and definitely the students will protest. Why rename the school in honour of a dead man, instead of constructing something in the persons honour. This is cheap.

      • I don’t say that is bad o but renaming him after a school looks bad, but at list They should have rename the school while he was still alive not now when he his lying in his grave, what will the dead has to do with the living, They have nothing in common, i don’t think the Student will not agree with this decision.

          • Am puzzled with your comment..alex is dead but being the ex vice president..he is a notable person that can not be forgotten so easily..by renaming the uni to his name is a form of remembrance

      • @imaobong I dont think they will protest because he was a good man and he deserved it.
If it was BUHARIS NAME THST WAS RENAMED AFTER A UNIVERSITY,then you see protest

      • @imaobong I dont this k its cheap, trust me government has indemnify his family.
Its better to rename the school after him than erecting structure that will consume millions of naira that would have been used for other important things
