The statement on the release of funds by the Federal Government for a nationwide vaccination was made by Laolu Akande who is the spokesperson for the Vice President on October 19.
A total sum of N3.5 Billion was made available by the FG to vaccinate against communicable diseases across 19 states of the Federation.
The exercise is to be conducted in Northern states from 26-31 of October, Faisal Shuaib the executive director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCD), made this known, saying that it will commence in other states in the next phases.
The vaccination will run till next year March after the 17 Southern states have been vaccinated from March 8-20, 2018.
For the Northeast will have the exercise done on November 30 to December 7.
February 1-13 will see the North-Central and FCT vaccinated.
This official statement is released to sensitize parents on the ongoing exercise and to advice them to keep their children in school and not cause confusion like the last time when they were hastily taking wards out of the school.
