An unidentified man reportedly lost three of his fingers following his (careless) handling of banger popularly known as knockouts.
Banger is a type of fireworks commonly used during the festive periods. The police have routinely advised the public against using it. And for good reasons too.
The story was shared online by a concerned Nigerian who said the man was receiving treatment for his injuries. They say they want to sensitise the public on the dangers of the use of the fireworks.
Sharing a graphic image of the injured fingers they write:
“That’s the effect of bangers. This guy lighted a banger ad it amputated his three fingers.
“My sister is treating the person. Just want to share it so others can benefit from it.
“Thank you.”
We guess the guy missed the police memo banning the use of bangers. Worse still, he probably ignored the safety guideline on the package.

I can imagine the regrets on his mind right now. Losing 3 fingers, If that happens to the hand he is used to, he would now have to start learning to write with the other I can’t just imagine the things he will go through.

it was until this christmas i developed an irritation for *banger.
the loud bang rings my ear drums and leaves a whrrr sound in my head

Police has banned the use of banger and again he didn’t read the instructions on the pack. He was probably holding it like a Pro! Now.
Well his hand will be a constant reminder to him.
Hmm too bad for him, his now a leper due to his own fault. Am sure he was fully aware of the dangers of playing with banger. This story reminds me in those days when we were still kids, a boy of my age lost 4 of his fingers because he was playing with the same banger.

Quite Pitiful I must say. Christmas memory that will linger for the rest of his life. It is clearly stated that it should be thrown away once sparked. All the same , I wish him quick recovery and may he regain his ability to use those fingers.
