At the age of 27, Ciro Immobile has become a force to reckon with inside and outside the penalty area as the Lazio striker has proved on countless occasion with his dominating presence in the opposition territory. Yet, there are many names that come before anyone looks his way, there are; Aubameyang, Kane, Dybala, Icardi, Cavani, Falcao and many more. These players are good in their own rights but Immobile deserves to be seen more or probably not.
He is currently playing for the tenth professional club in the senior team (and this excludes stints in the same club at different times) but Lazio will surely be unable to hold on to him by the end of this season as he has suddenly lost his gift of invisibility.
The Italian has been moved round Europe and has played at Spain and Germany, but he started catching the eyes in 2013-2014 when he was Serie A top scorer with 22 goals for Torino, a club that was clearly less popular and many wanted to know who he was but then he slipped under the radar again somehow during the transfer periods but again he resurfaced when Juventus were having the time of their lives; they were in the UEFA Champions league final, SuperCoppa Italia final and had the Serie A title in their pockets but as they lost the final of the Champions league, it was Immobile and his friends that further crashed their party of a possible double silverware as they defeated them (he scored twice) in the domestic cup final.
Perhaps invisibility can be a gift after all (ask Miss Fantastic) and the striker is already unmaking myths this season as he already has 11 goals for Lazio in 8 matches in the league and has scored twice on two outings for the club in the European international stage.
Definitely, his days of been unseen may be over and by January he will have more to do with paper than to do with balls in training.
