Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are officially divorced

A judge approved the papers which signify the end of the pair’s eight-month marriage on Tuesday.

The two had no children and had a very solid prenuptial agreement, so their divorce was quickly executed. Additionally, they agreed that Miley would keep their pets.

However, the judge postdated their single status, so the two will have to postpone any wedding plans until February 2022, which is when the two will officially be single, according to TMZ.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus met on the set of ‘The Last Song’ after which they began a relationship that was on and off for several years.

The couple got married in December 2018, in an intimate ceremony from which they only released a handful of pictures.

In August 2019, after eight months of marriage, Liam and Miley announced that that they had separated. Liam filed for divorce on 21 August, citing irreconcilable differences.

After the announcement though, Miley released a heartbreaking song titled ‘Slide Away’ that some thought to be a chronicle of her time while she and Liam were married.

Following their breakup, the two have moved on, with Miley publically dating Cody Simpson, while Liam has been a little more lowkey with his girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks.
