Actor Yomi Fabiyi speaks on being responsible with our rights as Nigerians

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi, who is the president of Break The Silence Foundation, has given shared his thought of what might be called a caution against abusing our rights as Nigerians.

The actor took to his Instagram page to write an open letter to Nigerians about being responsible with their rights. According to the actor, “Freedom of expression is never freedom from prosecution if they are lies or defamatory”

“IT IS CRIMINAL AND PUNISHABLE UNDER THE LAW TO SPREAD FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT SOMEONE IN AN ATTEMPT TO CAUSE THEM LOSS, PAIN, AND DAMAGE”

The actor who seemed to be passionate about the subject wrote extensively about it. He shared the message alongside a picture of himself.

His words:”For every RIGHT you have, you must be responsible with it. Freedom of expression is never freedom from prosecution if they are lies or defamatory. – Yomi Fabiyi

“Criminals and cyberbullies will defend platforms that feed their anxiety and trolling urges especially addicted internet strays, cyberbullies, and trolls. They contribute nothing to the online community other than hate comments, lies, false information, blackmails, trolling, abuses, derogatory remarks, gossips, defamation, pull him down, etc.

“They are so hoodwinked into the act that they seldom notice their day looks incomplete until they read GOSSIPS and hateful comments. They don’t want to care if the information is true, half-information, disturbing or unethical. These set of delusionals have no good family name or things to do with their time off and online. They are quick to blame every insecurity, under-development and personal disasters on government. No role other than talk, talk, talk, and social media coaching.

The ugly part is that most of these syndicates and their fans will do everything to avoid being kept under such conditions. Beri Beri ……. If you are getting rich by damaging homes, causing pain and agony unto others unjustly, woe unto you and your supporters, if you are caught, you must pay. REPORT THE TRUTH AND WELL BALANCED STORIES. Stop getting paid to ruin people. Stop using innocent people online to promote your criminality and demonic tendencies. It is a huge low and no respect for fans of such criminality. Disgusting.
