The show was aired in a live broadcast on all Africa Magic channels on DSTV and anchored by celebrity couple, Ibrahim Suleiman and Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman.
The awards show has 28 categories with seven of those open to public voting while winners in the remaining 21 categories will be decided by the AMVCA panel of judges.
There has also been the inclusion of a new category, called the MultiChoice Talent Factory Award.
