Michelle Obama and others pay tribute to Beyonce; solicit donations for Hurricane Harvey’s relief effort
It was reported per TMZ that Beyonce donated the black wide-brim hat she wore during the 2016 Formation World Tour to a Heritage Auction to help raise money for the Lung Transplant Project — a non-profit that raises money and awareness to reduce the waiting list time for transplants. Analysts projected that it would fetch between $1,000 to $2,000, but unsurprisingly, the piece of history sold for $27,500! beyonce is said to also have signed the inside of memorabilia with “All my love –Beyoncé’.
Beyonce wasn’t the only one feeling charitable. It was also reported that “Happy” singer, Pharell donated two pairs of Adidas Originals — one signed by Pharrell, the other to be customized by the winning bidder netting additional $11,375 for the charity.
