Nigeria has recorded additional 409 cases of coronavirus infections on Wednesday 11 June 2020 according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The Centre released the data during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria. Consequently, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria now stands at 13,873.
382 people have also died from Covid-19, the diseased caused by the virus while 4,351 people have recovered and been discharged from isolation centres across the country. The active number of cases stands at 9,140
Tweeting the information via his official Twitter account, the NCDC revealed that Lagos State recorded 201 new cases, FCT (Abuja) 85, Delta State 22, Edo State 16, Nasarawa State 14, Borno State 14, Kaduna 14 and Bauchi 10.
Other states that recorded infections during the reporting period are Rivers (nine), Enugu (five), Kano (five), Ogun (four), Ondo (four), Bayelsa (two), Kebbi (two) and Plateau (two).

The NCDC also provided a breakdown of confirmed infections across the states. Lagos State remains the epicentre of the diseases with 6,266. Kano State has is second with 1,097, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja is third with 1025 cases. Cross River State remains the only state that has no confirmed coronavirus infection.
